Alaska's Aleutian Island chain are nicknamed the 'Cradle of Storms' because of their ability to catch & hold the largest storms in the North Pacific. Finding a calm day in this part of the world let alone a surfable day is rare, but as any surfer knows, big storms can mean big surf. Rumors of incredible waves led us there but with an unlikely promise of success. Eventually we got a short window & the waiting game paid off. Perfect weather met an amazing swell and @JoshMulcoy was in the right place at the right time. His years of cold water travel paid off. . . Follow @chrisburkard for more.
